The Löwenherz Black watch from Tapferkeit

About two months ago I made the decision to buy a new watch. I wanted something visually attractive, not too expensive and solid in quality. After searching around for a while, I decided to purchase the Löwenherz Black watch from Tapferkeit, a London based watchmaker.

The watch itself is visually stunning which is the main reason I bought it. Upon arrival I could finally have a closer look at it.

I have to hand it to Tapferkeit, they really went out of their way with the packaging. It is something, and I didn’t expect it at all.

The Build and Quality of the Tapferkeit watch

The build of the watch is solid and of high quality. The housing and the glass fit perfectly together. Further, the dials are crisp and the background is clear.

The housing is made of stainless steel and it is water tight up to a depth of five meters. The wristband is made of genuine leather and well stitched together. It will provide a solid grip on your wrist and provide a polished look.

Furthermore, there are no luminous dials on this version, so please keep that in mind. I also noticed that the watch’s crown is in a slightly odd position. It is lowered as well as not being centered and in the middle as on other watches. This has caused some slight irritation on my wrist at times.

Overall Experience with the Löwenherz Black watch from Tapferkeit

Overall, the Löwenherz Black watch from Tapferkeit is a fantastic watch. It isn’t too expensive, yet well built and beautifully designed. I have had the watch for several months now and I can say it was worth it. It fits well on my arm and so far I have had no issues except for some minor scratching.

It is a classic and it can be worn with anything. This watch can be paired elegantly with an evening outfit such as a suit, as well as casually for a daytime outfit with jeans and sneakers. It elevates every outfit and adapts to every clothing style.

I would be aware that the watch will be sent from the UK and therefore if ordered from outside the UK you will pay a fee. I paid an additional 28 Euros since I ordered from Dublin. In my opinion it is worth it and I would buy it again.

Fun fact: if you didn’t already know “Löwenherz” means lion heart, in German and “Tapferkeit” means bravery.

Another look at the watch on my arm, she looks amazing doesn’t she?
